The benefits of Expressive Digital Imagery® (EDI) extend beyond the clinical and community settings where people first create and share their imagery. Participants in EDI programs are now using image-based recovery plans in support of their ongoing recoveries. These recovery plans typically consist of images that participants select themselves. They frequently view the images as reminders of particular strategies for remaining healthy at home post-treatment. Participants often report that their own images are more effective in reinforcing personalized recovery strategies than the typical text-based treatment plans that are used in many clinical settings today.
At the EDI Institute, we plan to continue innovating new approaches that enable people to use their imagery in support of long term health.
