EDI and My Life My Choice

Recently, the EDI Institute had an opportunity to collaborate with My Life My Choice, an organization whose mission is to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of adolescents through survivor-led programs. This is accomplished by educating and empowering youth to find their voice and create a positive life path while working to eliminate the violence and victimization of sexual exploitation.

A group of My Life My Choice staff members and survivor mentors participated in an workshop focused on the theme of “Resilience.” Using Expressive Digital Imagery (EDI), these women created images expressing resilience that they had observed in others and themselves. The imagery led to meaningful discussion both about the stories being shared, and also the potential for EDI to be integrated into My Life My Choice therapeutic programs.

This video includes many of the images that were created.
